A Little About Me
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist passionate about helping people untangle the challenges that keep them feeling stuck. Whether you’re navigating complex trauma, grappling with experiences around adoption, or struggling with perfectionism or people-pleasing, I offer a supportive space where we can explore, heal, and create meaningful change together.
Therapy with me is a collaborative process - I honor your unique experiences while offering guidance to help you move forward. My approach is warm, thoughtful, and rooted in psychodynamic therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS), both of which help foster self-understanding, self-compassion, and healing. I also incorporate practical behavioral tools to address symptoms and make daily life feel more manageable.
Outside of therapy, you’ll often find me exploring the outdoors or simply soaking in nature, experimenting in the kitchen, or getting lost in a great book or series. I also cherish time spent with the people (and pets!) I love - including a dog and two cats.
Specialties
I have extensive experience in working with individuals who have experienced complex trauma, chronic emotional invalidation, or struggles with identity and belonging. Many of the people I work with grapple with perfectionism, people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, and feeling disconnected from their true selves. I also specialize in supporting adoptees and members of the adoptive constellation, helping them navigate attachment, identity, and the unique emotional complexities of adoption.
Training
I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from Adelphi University and a master’s degree in child development from University College London. My clinical experience spans outpatient, hospital, and intensive care settings, including positions at North Central Bronx Hospital, Montefiore Hospital, and the William Alanson White Institute. I completed my postdoctoral training at Psychology Specialists of Maine, where I deepened my work in trauma-informed care, psychodynamic therapy, and experiential therapy.
